WHO WE ARE

Volunteer Action Network is a non-governmental organization founded in 2005 by local volunteers concerned about the desperate conditions of impoverished women and girls living in Uganda especially women who are adversely affected by the Socio-economic imbalance and yet constitute a greater labor force for production.

WHAT WE DO

Our programs target underserved and marginalized rural women and girls with a comprehensive selection of targeted programs and support services that include micro-loans, legal services, health education, and leadership development programs designed to strengthen social systems, amplify women's voices, reduce poverty, disease, hunger, and illiteracy.

HOW WE DO IT

We strive to develop local-based strategies that produce reductions in poverty and the marginalization of women and girls in  Uganda by providing economic, health education, and leadership opportunities for sustainability and self-determination

We are Staying Strong & Resilient
