Volunteer Action Network is a non-governmental organization founded in 2005 by local volunteers concerned about the desperate conditions of impoverished women and girls living in Uganda especially women who are adversely affected by the Socioeconomic imbalance and yet constitute a greater labor force for production.
Our programs target underserved and marginalized rural women and girls with a comprehensive selection of targeted programs and support services that include micro-loans, legal services, health education, and leadership development programs designed to strengthen social systems, amplify women's voices, reduce poverty, disease, hunger, and illiteracy.
Empowering women and girls in Uganda through socio-economic, health education, and leadership programs, creating opportunities while strengthening families and communities. It seeks to offer women leadership development and empowerment abilities required to lead successful dignified lives.
